Q. Are the Gary Manuel Salon wedding hair and/or makeup services available on location?

A. You can either come to us or have one (or more) of our stylists and make-up artists come to you. Gary Manuel team members are available to provide formal hair and/or makeup application services at your home or wedding location. On-location pricing includes travel time and starts at $500 for a half day (four hours) and $1000 for a full day (eight hours) for each team member. Hair styling with make-up services usually requires two team members. Call today for a consultation.

Q. How far in advance should I schedule my wedding hair and makeup services?

A. We suggest that you call to schedule your wedding-day appointment a few months in advance. Saturdays are especially busy during wedding season, so the earlier you book your appointment the better.

Q. Should I plan a hair and makeup run-through?

A. Yes, we suggest you schedule a wedding hair and makeup run-through for two or three weeks before your wedding day. Also, plan a consultation meeting with your stylist to share pictures of the types of styles you're interested in and to discuss the use of a veil, headpiece, or jewelry.

Q. What do I need to do to my hair before I see the stylist on the day of my wedding?

A. Unless you are planning to have your hair styled down, leave your hair unwashed. As your hair isn't oily, it's easier for your stylist to create a fabulous updo when the hair has a little texture and is not so soft and slippery. For that reason, we generally suggest you wash it the night before and make sure it is dry when you come in.
