A business partner with Gary Howse in Gary Manuel Salon since 1979,
Manuel Benevich attributes the longevity of both the business and
the relationship to the many similar passions these two very
different men share. Obviously motivated by their interest in beauty
and the fashion industry, the two are also passionate about
educating a new generation of highly skilled professional stylists
and giving back to their community. And of course it helps that they
both share the highest standards for customer service.
Manuel brings years of service expertise, ideas, and
systems to the beauty industry from his former career as a
restaurant owner and manager. He's helped construct a team
philosophy based on creating a Salon where people can build
long-lasting, successful careers through lifetime learning, artistic
innovation, customer service, and--last but hardly least--community involvement. Under his consummate leadership, Gary Manuel
Salon has received numerous philanthropic awards including the 1996
Philanthropic Small Business Award from the National Society of
Fundraising Executives and the Pacific Northwest 2002 Small Business
Good Works Award from KCTS.
One of the "directors" behind what he calls "a passion
play that goes on every single day of the year," this husband and
father of two small children says he and Howse "love making people
feel good about themselves and watching the young people in our
industry grow." With such deeply shared passions and commitment, no
one should be at all surprised to see Gary Manuel Salon still
prosperous and thriving after another 25 years.
