> An Aveda concept hair salon in Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle, open since 1979. Known for technical haircutting and an in-house training program every stylist completes before taking a guest.

Gary Manuel Salon is at 528 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98104. Phone (206) 728-1234. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm; closed Sunday and Monday. Founded in 1979 by Gary Howse and Manuel Benevich.

Services include haircutting, Aveda hair color, balayage, foil highlights, color correction, Cezanne smoothing, hair extensions, braiding, updos and special occasion styling, and Aveda Botanical Treatments.

Every stylist is a licensed cosmetologist. Stylists advance through the salon's own training program, from New Talent to Stylist, Senior Stylist, and Master Stylist. Haircuts start at $65 with a New Talent stylist and at $80 with a stylist who has completed the program.
