Each of Gary Manuel's hair stylists have completed our comprehensive training program to ensure that every guest receives beautiful results and personalized care. While each stylist may have their favorite services, everyone performs hair cuts and hair color.
Amy

Joined Gary Manuel in 1992
Amy is the Color Director at Gary Manuel, where she specializes in blondes and advanced color placement. She enjoys cutting short to medium length and transforming fine hair.
She has been a licensed
instructor since 2005 and through her career she has taught at an Aveda Institute, Graeber Salon, and Gary Manuel Advanced training program.
In her free time she loves to downhill ski and travel to warm destinations. She is also obsessed with live music, especially electronic dance music.

Maria came to Seattle in 1988 from Moscow, Russia. She became interested in visual arts and started to discover her own style of painting. Maria’s biggest inspirations in beauty are shapes, sounds, silhouettes and colors! She sees beauty all around her and is always looking for more.
Most importantly, Maria loves to paint during her spare time. She also enjoys gardening, participating in outdoor activities with her kids and skiing in the winter months.

Nadya

Hairstylist and master designer Nadya receives her greatest joy when she’s either behind the chair working with a new guest, or with someone that’s been seeing her for years. She feels hair is an artistic “canvas” and she’s very capable of working with different hair types.
Although Nadya is a short-hair girl, she’s equally adept with color services, long hair and textured hair. In addition to her formal training to become a cosmetologist, she’s a certified instructor (most recently at the Aveda Seattle Arts and Sciences Institute) and at one point a salon owner.
Fine arts are Nadya’s passion, especially music. She considers some of Seattle’s music iconic spaces like Benaroya Hall, the Opera House and Jazz Alley her “second homes”. Secretly, she has a weakness for dark chocolate and cookies.
Nadya’s guests look to her for her artistic vision and expertise. Renowned for personalized skillfully individualized haircuts and colors she has perfected a craft that blends art and science.

Shannon loves foils that give a natural result, pops of color to provide guests with an edgy look, color that compliments the guests skin tone and personality and all types of haircuts from short pixies, to long layers and curly hair.
Music is her life outside of work. Writing songs, playing guitar with her husband and performing in her Pretenders Tribute Band.

When not behind the chair, Kathleen can be found running the city trails of South Seattle, making guacamole, and talking to dogs as if they are human.

She is now a hairstylist at Gary Manuel Salon, where she works with all different hair types and
offers a charming experience for all of her clients. Nicole cherishes the capability of making her clients marvel at themselves in the mirror
after their appointments.
But Nicole’s love for her craft doesn’t just stop after your appointment with her. She encourages hair care beyond the salon, such as not sleeping with wet hair and weekly hair masks.
When Nicole isn’t working, she loves to spend quality time with her two adorable cats at home. She also loves to dance to great music, practice fun makeup looks, and go shopping (even if she does have some clothes at home she should donate). She also loves any well-made

Gary Howse and Manuel Benevich joined forces in 1979 to create an urban salon founded on the principles of excellence, giving back, and extensive stylist training. These values have sustained the company for over 40 years in creating Seattle's best stylists and services.
