Gary Howse and Manuel Benevich joined forces in 1979 to create an urban salon founded on the principles of excellence, giving back, and extensive stylist training. These values have sustained the company for over 40 years in creating Seattle's best stylists and services.

Joined Gary Manuel in 1992
Amy is the Color Director at Gary Manuel, where she specializes in blondes and advanced color placement. She enjoys cutting short to medium length and transforming fine hair.
She has been a licensed
instructor since 2005 and through her career she has taught at an Aveda Institute, Graeber Salon, and Gary Manuel Advanced training program.

She is now a hairstylist at Gary Manuel Salon, where she works with all different hair types and
offers a charming experience for all of her clients. Nicole cherishes the capability of making her clients marvel at themselves in the mirror
after their appointments.
But Nicole’s love for her craft doesn’t just stop after your appointment with her. She encourages hair care beyond the salon, such as not sleeping with wet hair and weekly hair masks.
When Nicole isn’t working, she loves to spend quality time with her two adorable cats at home. She also loves to dance to great music, practice fun makeup looks, and go shopping (even if she does have some clothes at home she should donate). She also loves any well-made

Chase

As a child, Chase travelled often due to her father’s position in the military and eventually settled in Dallas, TX for a time. Her dream of becoming a hairstylist led her to move to Seattle.
Since high school Chase has expressed interest in cosmetology. Her biggest supporter was her aunt, who convinced her parents to let her dye her hair for the very first time as a teenager. After this, Chase’s passion for self expression took off.
She has dedicated herself to her education in cosmetology in order to become a stylist at a successful hair salon. At Gary Manuel, Chase is doing just that.
She finds joy in helping clients feel confident with their new looks and takes pride in seeing guests smile in the mirror. Chase particularly enjoys a challenge, taking on a request for a bold haircut or daring color requests. She constantly strives to do things beyond the normal and to always enhance her skills as a stylist. Your experience with Chase will be one you will remember always.

Joined Gary Manuel in 2025
As a child, Chase travelled often due to her father’s position in the military and eventually settled in Dallas, TX for a time. Her dream of becoming a hairstylist led her to move to Seattle.
Since high school Chase has expressed interest in cosmetology. Her biggest supporter was her aunt, who convinced her parents to let her dye her hair for the very first time as a teenager. After this, Chase’s passion for self expression took off.
She has dedicated herself to her education in cosmetology in order to become a stylist at a successful hair salon. At Gary Manuel, Chase is doing just that.
She finds joy in helping clients feel confident with their new looks and takes pride in seeing guests smile in the mirror. Chase particularly enjoys a challenge, taking on a request for a bold haircut or daring color requests. She constantly strives to do things beyond the normal and to always enhance her skills as a stylist. Your experience with Chase will be one you will remember always.
